"Who Needs a Temple Anyways?"

EDITOR'S NOTE :

In a special, Waerd Aev exclusive, we have managed to place one our roving writers (Y.T.) close to Mayor's Scrimm's offices. He was able to get his fingers upon this rough draft of an impending press release of rather dubious nature. - G.B.-

Dear sirs or madams,

So the Temple has been in ruins for well over a few years now. So what? It is not like the Crossing really needs a Temple, anyways. I propose that we take the money set aside for the Temple restoration and spend it on something truly useful, like a monument in honor of Mayor Scrimm. Now there is someone that deserves the utmost respect. Not only is he a true pillar of the community and an honorable man, but he is extraordinarily handsome, and a statue of his striking visage in the Town Green would do much to beautify the Crossing.

The Immortals already have a whole guild devoted to their worship. Isn't another building in their honor a bit much, even for gods? Perhaps if the Thirteen did anything at all to deserve the devotion of the people of the Crossing, a new temple would be appropriate. I hardly think a group of religious fanatics preaching damnation is enough reason to misappropriate the immense amounts of kronars that a rebuilt Temple would require. Let the Clerics deal with the Immortals, I say. The rational people of Zoluren do not deserve to be bullied into sacrificing the betterment of their fair capitol by the Clerics' Guild.

Let the Clerics preach and rant from within the confines of their own guild. It is high time that the citizens of the Crossing honored those morals who have acted as true role models.

People like Mayor Scrimm
