CROSSING, ZOLUREN -- A statement issued by notorious
Thieves' Guild leader and suspected criminal Kalag the
Black verifies the rumor that the Guild of Shadows has
been illegally making use of the CENSORED, and apologizes
to Mayor Scrimm and the people of the city for the misappropriation
of their tax kronars.
"It is my sincerest hope," the flaxen-haired Elf claimed,
"that the Crossing will permit restitution to be made.
What I did was wrong, and I wish to make amends with the
people and the government of this great and prosperous
city."
"As a direct result of my violation," she continued,
"I am examining several new areas of real estate in hope
of purchasing one legally and establishing a base. Hopefully
this will help assuage the hurt caused by my actions and
ease the ill will commonly held against my guild's members."
"I am not a crook, but I am a squatter."
The guild leader's speech was cheered, and a particularly
dashing Mayor Scrimm made so bold as to kiss the fragile
beauty's hand. Kalag smiled winningly, waved to her many
admirers, and vanished into the crowd.
Unfortunately, the event was not all roses and candy.
Mayor Scrimm somehow managed to lose his personalized
platinum orlog, and is offering a substantial reward for
its safe return. Anyone with any information on its whereabouts
is to report to the Town Hall immediately.
