"What's Up Elanthia?"

Greetings and salutations! My name is Flutterbee Wylde-fyre, and I am an Elven trader in the province of Zoluren. I have traveled the trade routes for many years running contracts and searching for rare and exotic items. Over the last year, I have switched focus from making money to enjoying the finer things in life. Specifically, I yearn for quality entertainment from local and exotic resources.

The purpose of my column, "What's Up Elanthia?", is to share upcoming performance schedules and quality reviews of past events. My hope is to encourage people of all races to take a break from making coin and slaying critters in order to enjoy the scenery. Maybe you want to participate in some of these events, or perhaps you are looking for a place to take a date! Either way Elanthia has several opportunities to alleviate the entertainment-deprived masses.

New Openings:
M'uspari and the sand elves open a theater and fine shopping opportunities. Check out the Face Painter!

Horse Clan sports new shops and wandering bards. Travel there is not for the faint of heart. Try the steam baths!

The Amusement Pier has opened in Crossing for Estate Holders. Try out the water ride! Test your strength! Visit the Nightingale's Rest puppet theater.

Something for Everyone!
Improv Theater
Held every Thursday in the Crossing Bard Guild at 10pm Elven (EST) time. Interactive comedy and improvisation open to everyone. Special Note: The third Thursday of each month, Improv travels to Theren in order to entertain the Guard.

Song Circles
Hosted by The Rogue Players the first Friday of every month at 11pm Elven (EST) time at the Bards Corner of the Half Pint Inn in Crossing. Open to all guilds, come sing with us!

Arth Dale Concert Series
Sponsored by Daerlynn Soulmyste with support from the Lorethew Mentor Society every other Saturday in Arth Dale at 11pm Elven (EST) time (check News 4 23 for particulars). Join us for good eats and high caliber entertainment!

Storytelling Contest
Sponsored by The Rogue Players, this contest will be held Saturday February 23, 2002 at 10pm EST in the Bard's Corner of the Half Pint Inn. The subject for this particular contest will focus on the Cities and Towns of Elanthia with two categories: History of the City (Non-fiction) and How to Get Lost/Found in X (Fiction).
