"The Tezirite Mirror"

by Vendelor

I stand beside the darkened waters,
Crystal mirror now in hand,
Gazing at the pool beneath me,
Shallow liquid over sand.

Kneeling down upon the mudbanks,
Silent fingers once drawn through,
Striking, gently, now the surface,
Shattered image of the moons.

Voice inaudible, I mumble,
Words taught deep in darkness' nest,
Waters part and draw aside as
Mirror, here, is laid to rest.

Invoking now with greater tempo,
Canticle of Mother's deeds,
Mirror under water pulsates,
Erupting images to me.

Reflecting skyward constellations,
Magnified by water clear,
Visions in my mind are burning,
Wren nearby sheds unseen tear.

I see a Grand Square in conjunction,
With a Grand Square, back to back,
And a third now makes complete this,
Ritualistic, vagrant crack.

Binding now then all upon me,
Three are four and four are one,
One becomes a channel speaking,
Vision fades, is then undone.

Kneeling down upon the mudbanks,
Silent fingers twice drawn through,
Striking, gently, now the surface,
Shattered image of the moons.

Voice inaudible, I mumble,
Words taught deep in darkness' nest,
Waters part and draw aside as
Mirror becomes mine again.
