1. Elanthian News:
BUDDY CONTEST WINNERS
They told their friends about DragonRealms and now they're reaping the
rewards! We'll be picking three winners at the end of every month, so just
keep spreading the word and you could be next! The names of the new lucky
winners are posted on the DragonRealms web site each month following the

GUILD NEWS
There have been many exciting new developments in the DragonRealms guilds
in the past few weeks... so many we can't even list them all! For the full
stories on these and other recent releases, check out the Guild News
section of in-game NEWS.
Paladin Guild
Those who attended the paladin guild meeting earlier this month were
treated to a gift! The talented Lady Joscelind has been commissioned to
make selected alterations for those who received tickets. See NEWS 20 for
more details.
Barbarian Guild
Construction teams and planners have finally finished their work,
revealing the newly renovated Barbarian Forge in the town of Riverhaven!
The Barbarian's Guild has decreed that this forge will be open only to its
members, to allow for weaponsmiths to work their skill without the
distraction of laughing at the efforts of mana-users. For a full report,
see NEWS 21.
Cleric Guild
Clerics will notice some simple but significant changes to the PRAY verb
that provide more role-playing options and responses. You can now pray to
a specific prime god as well as pray with/for another person. These
changes were based on player suggestions, and more are in the works. See
NEWS 23 for more details.
Moon Mage Guild
The Shift Moonbeam spell is now live and in Premium Preview. Please
listen carefully to the Guildmaster's spiel (or in the case of the Premium
scrolls, the instructions) on how to properly use this spell. Bugs and
comments should be directed to the message boards. Check out NEWS 27 for
more information.
BOARD MONITOR OPENINGS!
We are now accepting applications for the invaluable position of Message
Board Monitor. If you have a keen and watchful eye, can commit 10 hours a
week, enjoy reading, and have skill in writing, we want to hear from you!
Complete the GameHost application form (located on the Web site), put
"Board Monitor Position" in the subject heading, and CC the application to
Fyremelody@play.net. Check out NEWS 166 for more information.
WAERD AEV RETURNS!
The official webzine of DragonRealms is back and looking for
contributions! Share your knowledge and love of the realms with fellow
players by submitting roleplaying narratives, maps, poetry, artwork, etc.
What's more, you'll be rewarded for your submissions! Compensation begins
at one bronze per word for articles and two platinum for artwork. NEWS 161

Cloudspire Keep.

SIMUCON 2000!
It's that time of year again! Stirrings about SimuCon 2000 have already
begun!
This year, we're going to make things better than ever! In order to
accomplish this goal, GM Solomon has opened a new Topic in the SimuCon
Category on the DragonRealms boards to ask YOUR opinions on seminars for
the next convention. What do you want to hear about? What do you not
want to hear about? What topics are important to YOU?
Head over to the message boards and respond today (login to
https://dragonrealms.net and click on the MSG Boards link)! The sooner you
let us know, the sooner we can start planning the best SimuCon ever!
