DUNSHADE MANOR MYSTERY QUEST!
Become part of the unraveling saga of Dunshade Manor - if you dare! The
history behind Dunshade Manor is riddled with murder, betrayal and greed:
a legacy that threatens to continue taking more lives. The manor has taken
on a life all its own and the spirits have never been so restless. Team up
with brave Elanthians to unlock the mysteries of the Manor, tame the

August tickets for this hugely popular haunted quest sold out quickly, but

CHARACTER COSTUME CONTEST!
Help new players enter the realms in style! Show off your design talent by
creating a new outfit for young adventurers to wear. The design should be
focused around each race. A winner will be chosen from each race to
receive an alteration and DragonRealms merchandise! See the website

RATHA FORGE OPENS!
After a hazardous journey gathering supplies in Riverhaven, the Widow
Grimbly Uch'Thagor has opened up the newly rebuilt forge to serve the
general public! Located on the first tier of Ratha in the Gor'Tog
section, this unique forge welcomes both new and skilled forgers of all
guilds.
Also of note, business at the clinic has been said to increase from the
amount of burnt and bruised smith apprentices that are coming from the new
shop.
PET SHOP OPENS ON MER'KRESH
Madame Woodhut's pet shop, famed for its collection of exotic and unusual
cat and dog breeds, has just opened on Pearl Circle, Mer'Kresh. Come by
and Selling pets to premium members for their homes.
WORLD DESIGN BRIEFS
New areas have been sprouting up all over realms. The entrance to a new
hunting area, the Lost Crossing, was discovered in the basement of the
observatory. The new area, haunted by death spirits, represents a period
lost in the annals of history, when part of the city sunk below the earth,
never again to see the light of day.
A new housing area for Premium players opened on the grounds of the
Crossing Empath's Guild, offering a peaceful retreat for local healers to
relax and meditate after a hard day's work.
Ulf'Hara, the home of the Prince of Zoluren was opened to the public for a
party last month. While guards normally rebuff attempts by visitors to
meet with the Prince in his home, the Prince held a formal reception with
dancing to show off his new home to the residents of the province.
NEW RELEASES
July was a big month for new releases around the realms! It seems not a
single aspect of Elanthin life was left untouched, with major improvements
to creature combat (see NEWS 13 in-game) and a new feature for thrown and
missile weapon users (NEWS 10). With another release, victims are now able
to recover grave-robbed items - check out the full details in NEWS 12. The
healing system saw many changes just this past week, learn more about them
by reading NEWS 19. This is only a sampling of what's been happening -- be
sure to check in-game NEWS often to stay on top of the latest in Elanthian
life!
MAJOR EXPERIENCE EXPANSION: COMING SOON!
Your experiences in Elanthia are about to become much richer! This
September, you'll enjoy several new and improved features, including a
completely redesigned character manager, new roleplaying award
functionality, and new picture packs. Ever wonder what a Rakash looks like
in "moonskin" form, or how much taller a 'Tog is than a Gnome? On
September 1st, with the release of the first official racial portraits,
you'll be able to see for yourself! Look for full details of this exciting
release in next month's newsletter!

3. Guild News:
CLERIC'S GUILD NEWS
The deadline for the Shrine Contest is a mere 14 days away! All
submissions must be in by midnight EST on August 15th. Don't pass up your
chance to make your devout mark upon the new Fifth Province! All entry
information is posted in the "Guild Guru Announcements" topic of
the "Cleric's Altar" message board. Good luck to everyone!
Rumor has it that the merchant Sputkin has donated a stock of new items to
Brother Durantine's Shop in the Crossing! The little gnome was supposedly
seen scampering about with a scruffy little rat, coaxing people into
buying the wares. He did caution that items with holy magic must only be
invoked by those of the Cleric profession.
The Malediction spell is now in premium preview for all clerics of at
least 30th circle who have knowledge of the Harm Evil spell. These
clerics can test the spell by invoking the tome in the sea-caves of
Peri'el. After the preview ends this week, everyone may learn the spell.

BARD'S GUILD NEWS
Show off your skills and creativity by taking part in the "Design a
Songbook" contest! Five winners will receive the finished copy of their
songbook and one free alteration of the book. See NEWS 28 for full details
and contest guidelines and be sure to have your entries in by September
1st. Good luck!
Based on player suggestions from you, SONG has been updated to make it a
bit easier to find valuable information.Type SONG HELP for usage. The
enchante 'Eye of Kertigen' has been re-released with several new features
and improvements. Enjoy!
The guildleaders, having heard that some people were using their
instruments as weapons, became outraged and immediately took steps to
prevent this. In the near future no instrument, whether it is wielded by
a Bard or not, should be able to be thrown or used as a weapon against a
foe. If anyone finds a Bard using an instrument in this manner, they are
encouraged to let the proper authorities know.
The DragonRealms list of Bard enchantes has moved to the DragonRealms web
site and included with the spell lists. Keep an eye on the in-game news
and GM Hoome's webpage for updates regarding Bardic news and fixes during

PALADIN'S GUILD NEWS
The Crossing Paladins Guild construction was completed and a team of
Dwarves unveiled their masterpiece, including their very own Paladin
store, and Paladin premium housing. The spell Holy Warrior was recently
released and is now available to all Paladins.
