As has become the cutsom, the "con" kicks
off a day early with a large portion of the attendees arriving Wednesday.
Another tradition continues as well - the Wednesday night dinner,
this year led by Mikare.

Elsewhere throughout the village, many thirsty
adventurers sought the refuge of the many taverns, including the
bar in our own hotel and the $20 all-you-can-drink at the Backstreet
Jazz and Blues Club just down the walk.
